I love wordpress, it is a very powerful, stable, and secure application that can be used as a CMS or as a blog.
In saying that there is always room for improvement. Following is a list of things/plugins I would like to see in Wordpress in the future.
- A better version of K2 that didnt mess with images - Screw that I use Thematic now
- XHTML-MP Theme with presentation options like K2 - Done
- WP shopping cart - DONE - WP e-Commerce (we did it!!!)
- Plugin that displays categories/archives in a dropdown (see webfroot.co.nz) - meh who cares
- The ability to lock / parent a post category to a page - meh maybe there is by now maybe there isnt
- Better forum software - Done WP-Forum Done bbPress is getting much better
- Better statistics - DONE WP SlimStat- Done google analytics plugin
- Better communications tools - DONE
