Assault at Scribe Party … the cheeky bugger!

Just as you start to develop a new born respect for NZ hip hop some punk has to go ruin it by being a tough guy and beating up a freaking reporter.

Phil Armstrong – 95bFM operations manager – was taken by ambulance to Auckland Hospital suffering a broken tooth and other facial injuries. He was punched several times outside the Grey Lynn Bowling Club, where the party was thrown by Scribe’s management company CRS on Wednesday night. Without warning, Scribe took exception to something and Mr Armstrong was assaulted.

I used to hang out with Homies at school, they were great to their friends. But to those that were not… Shessh :P

Blogs, Living on the Beach, and other stuff

the bourneJust a little earlier as I was sitting out by the beach drinking my coffee, I imagined years from now a whole group of us living together in the same house enjoying a simple comfortable life where we all lived happily. Those that immediately were in my fantasy where Amber, Andre & Marie, Leon & xxx, and Luke & xxx. What a really really strange thought it was.

I was also thinking about blogging, online communities, and how good I feel about this website and a few others that I am involved in. I am quite excited about 3g.co.nz – it looks like Brett will help me out with it as he took an immediate liking to it.

I am also doing some free consultancy work in order to get more work with Brett – I am looking forward to it, since we have last worked together I think we have both grown up quite a lot!!!

Shakespeare – Thurio and I

Last night I was given the part of Thurio, a character in Shakespeare’s “The Two Gentleman of Verona”. I must admit up until I was sure I got the part I was very dubious and even a little upset I was not going to get a bigger part. But really! Who cares! That all went out the window when I started reading. Thurio is in love with Silvia, but he doesn’t stand a chance, Proteus tricks Thurio into believing he is helping woo her for him but Proteus is in love with her himself and thus poor Thurio is fooled. I shan’t give too much away (I probably already have, but its so exciting!!!) you will just have to come see it yourself next year!!!

Blogs & main stream media

I hate it. I saw another article in this Weekends newspaper and all these uncool, or corporate blogs are getting undeserved media coverage. I think what it happening is that Junior reporters are finally catching on and realising that Blogs are a phenomenon, they do a google search, ie “blog” and then they go to town. I admit that I use Word Press for work as well but I would not go so far as to call it a blog – even if it does use blogging software. A true blog is a personal web log and that’s final. Ok bye.

Rhian Sheehan

On the weekend Amber, Andre, Maria, and I went to see Rhian Sheehan at Sandwhiches. It was cool, I enjoyed their music – nothing to dance to, at least not the usual music I am into. The dood who played b4 was also ok. Kudos to Andre & Maria for a nice meal and a good night out!!!!
