Sherlock Holmes

I just found this on boingboing, it is for Amber just as much as it is for me. Hundreds of free 1930s Sherlock Holmes radio drama MP3s!!! The Sherlock Holmes Society of London has hundreds of free MP3s of Sherlock Holmes radio plays from the 1930s — amazing!

Nu Flat

Amber, Hannah, and I now have a flat in Brooklyn. Its cool, sometimes there are weird noises; the people living in the opposing properties arguing or making funny burping sounds, the pipes creak, nothing to complain about. We have nice wooden floors, decent living space, and fair sized rooms. I prefer it to my more modern ex flat - the rooms were small, hot, and there was poor sound insulation throughout. Each room had seperate external space to keep you clothes and stuff, that did a good job making up for its shortcomings. Sawoot!!!

The Manchurian Candidate

The Manchurian Candidate (1962)
I saw the original last night. It was an amazing film, the lack of colour did not lessen the experience at all. I actually preferred this version to the new 2004 remake starring Denzel Washinton. It was good see something with Frank Sinatra & Laurence Harvey, they both played their roles excellently. What is most amazing about this film is the concept (brain washing) and how cutting edge it was for its time.
I give this a 8.5 (going on 9) out of 10

The Manchurian Candidate (2004)
A good fun film. But not as good as the original. If you have nothing else to do on a rainy day then this is worth renting. Denzel plays his part well (as usual) but if you haven’t seen the original watch it first and make a whole day of it!
I give this a 6 out of 10
