In All Our Affairs

Arthur, Andy, Tim, Billy, and I.
Dancing, Drumming, Howling at fire.
Challenging reservations.
Tribal musings and practices.

Climbing hills with Billy.
Shared about circumstances, where we’re at.
Climbed back down through the green.
Celebrated at the foot.
With 250 million year old Himalayan salt water.

Thought good thoughts about Amber.
It felt good. No Jealousy to poison my mind.
I shared about being a man – in the society.
We define what that is – it is not written.
All I have to do today is love.

I wrote that at the in all our affairs NA campout. It talks about Gavins Stag party where we had a bonfire, talked shit, and played the drums. Gavin dived through the fire thus symbolizing a new start. Billy and I climbed a small mountain. The climb up was a bit of a bitch, the earth was damaged because it was all ex pine forest and it was very crumbly. The views up the top were fantastic. Very LOTR. Because of the state of the earth we decided to take an alternate path back down “a short cut”. It turned out to be the contrary but it was wild going through the bush. It was so freaking green green green. We heard Deer, saw lots of animal prints. It was just wild man. On the Friday night we went to a place called Kerosene Creek. Talk about sexy, where we were bathing the moon shone down on us fragmented rays broken through the trees. The steam from the pools made a mist like setting and all I can say is that I was awed by it. Anyway, I must be away, I have things to do…
