Last night was, well, interesting. Amber and I had dinner (which was nice), we had a moment (not so nice), and then we went and saw William Shakespeare’s “All’s well that ends well?” at Muritai School. In the Bourne, scary place, a place where homeless denizens of the night sneak down from the Nui and eat babies. From their beds. True Fact.
So. Anyway, I loved the play. It has inspired me to read more Shakespeare. What I found interesting was that I spotted similarities between how he writes and Frank Herbert writes. You see Herbert writes with a mixture of Old English Language and a dash of Middle Eastern culture. And he just does it so well. I think thats why I like Dune. I love the language and at the same time I find the eastern references and culture so mysterious and inviting.
Anyway, after the play Amber and I went back to her place, we made up, we made sweet nookie, and then we went to sleep. All good I tell you. LMAO - Amber and I were so messy this morning, we managed to spill a latte on her lap, and cover me in lemon curd and pancake :D
Most kiwis want one law for all, a Massey University survey shows.
I was truly surprised by this:
Most non-Maori and more than half of Maori said they wanted the Crown to retain title of the beaches, foreshore and seabed, protecting access rights for all New Zealanders.
I’m not sure what the right answer is, but it would seem that if most Kiwis dont think the treaty issues are being handled right by the current government then it’s about time we tried something new; These are issues that cant be kept swept under the carpet any longer. Normally I dont give much of a toss about politics but at a deep fundamental level I want equality for all (I cant speak for Don Brash - Maybe he has a hidden agenda maybe he doesnt) and if we keep harboring a victim mentality we’re only getting further and further away from ever reaching it.
I do not like fighting with my friends, therefore I decided to delete the ‘consumer whore’ post entirely.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Good and Bad. Dan Loves ya!
“The Treaty is a founding document is obvious to all. But the Treaty alone is not an adequate constitutional basis for a modern state.”
How very well put - /me waits for Amber to tell me off >:)
Sweet. Tryst, the only really good dating site got a write up in the InfoTech. My name was mentioned a number of times. I feel ‘good’. Now I need it to start paying me so that I can eat. I should put a mercy service on the site. “click here to donate $1.00 to the starving Tryst developers and receive a special one of love byte sent to your phone”
Hmmm I just might. I am a victom of unfortunate consequence? Interesting saying…?
Days numbered for Kiwis getting dole in Australia
Thousands of New Zealanders in Australia will lose their right to claim welfare payments unless they apply to become Australian residents within the next 10 days. If there is one thing I cant stand it’s lazy people coming to New Zealand expecting a government hand out - I cant stand lazy doll bludging Kiwis who expect a hand out full stop come to think about it :D
The truth of the matter is I am bored. And when I get bored I do stuff like this. I’ve had two Red Bulls tonight which probably doesnt help matters (And I’ve been for a ride - see last post :))
